Childcare options available at Poplats Daycare Nursery  
At Poplars, we provide for the daycare needs of a number of different age groups. These range from babies, right up to 14 year olds. Below is a description of each type of care that we offer.

Baby Unit

The baby unit is divided into two rooms, each well equipped with toys and activities. There is a separate milk kitchen, food kitchen senory room and pyschial room in which we prepare feeds during the day.

Toddler Unit (18 Months - 2 1/2 Years)

We have two fully equipped rooms for our Toddler Unit each room has a cosy area, seperate nappy changing facilities.

Tweenies Unit (2 1/2 - 3 Years)

The Tweenies Unit is fully equipped to meet the needs of this age group. It has its own toilet facilities, cosy area and outdoor class room. In addition, the Tweenies use our Activity rooms, to encourage their creative side.

Pre-school Unit

We have two pre-school rooms each is well equipped with different areas of learning. Each room has access to a large outdoor class room and garden area and also we have a flower and vegetable patch, a seperate standing water area and playhouse.

After School

During school term times, after school care is available. We offer a wide range of activities including those that will stimulate learning as well as those that help the children unwind at the end of the school day. Poplars offers a pick up service from local schools.


Holiday Club (4 - 14 Years)

During school holidays, we provide a holiday club with a wide range of activities which are both educational and enjoyable.

Early Years Foundation Stage (Birth - 5 Years)

A new national framework that helps the child develop in all areas of learning. The framework enables the child to become as independent as possible by encouraging decision making.
